HAZWOPER TRAINING

The Hazwoper Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response 8 hour refresher course registraton will be available Summer 2007. NEBC is offering this course in conjunction with the Northwest Environmental Conference, December 6 & 7, 2007 at the Red Lion Hotel on the RIVER - Jantzen Beach, Portland.

The HAZWOPER training complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for responders to releases or potential releases of hazardous substances when part of the initial response to the site for the purpose of protecting nearby persons, property or the environment. Program highlights include: Hazard Awareness; Toxic Substances; Personal Protective Equipment; Respiratory Protection; Air Monitoring Equipment; Survey and Reconnaissance; Site Control Work Zones; Confinement and Containment; Decontamination; and Practical Exercise.
