Hotel Shuttle

The Northwest Environmental Conference strongly encourages utilizing alternate transportation. Below are listed various options to help make this possible for attendees.
Public Transportation
OREGONThere are a number of ways to use TriMet to get to the Red Lion Hotel on the River - Jantzen Beach.
Take Red or Blue Lines of MAX to the Rose Quarter and transfer 1 block West to the Yellow line headed North to the Expo center. Get off at the Delta Park stop and call the hotel at 503-283-4466 to be picked up in minutes by the hotel shuttle.
Another alternative is taking the #6 MLK bus from 6th and Jefferson downtown all the way to Jantzen Beach.
To return to the Delta Park stop from the hotel, simply stop by the front desk to arrange for the return shuttle.
For the return trip the #6 MLK bus will return to downtown via the Jantzen Beach Center West of I-5. A one way trip from downtown is a hassle-free 45 minutes.
Tri-Met line #6 MLK is a frequent service line. It's service runs every 15 minutes or less. Go to www.trimet.org for more details including an online trip planner.

Walk or bike to Vancouver Park and Rides
Take C-Tran bus to downtown Vancouver or the Vancouver Mall Transit Center, then transfer to Bus #4 (Fourth Plain) to Jantzen Beach (5 min. walk to hotel).

One Trip Step-By-Step Registration Instructions- Go to www.CarpoolMatchNW.org
- Select One Time Trip and then Register Today! If you are already registered, then just put in your email address and password and go directly to step #6.
- Read CarpoolMatchNW Terms and Conditions. Select Accept and then Continue.
- Complete the Contact Information. CarpoolMatchNW insures confidentiality. Home addresses are never released to matches. For your last name and work or home phone number to be released you must check the box allowing this information to be released. Primary contact will be through your email account.
- Select Submit.
- On the One Time Trip Details page complete the question, "What do you want to call your trip?" with words like, "NW Environmental Conference."
- For Origin put in your home address or other point of origin.
- Select Verify Origin and confirm by looking at the map that this is the origin address.
- Complete the time you would like to leave and date boxes. You may select a date from the calendar next to the date box.
- Going to (Destination) select either day listed for Northwest Environmental Conference from the drop-down list.
- Complete the time you would like to return and date boxes.
- Under Other Details check the box if you have a car and are willing to drive. If not, leave it unchecked. Complete comments to provide more information to potential matches.
- Select Save trip and find matches.
- The One Time Trip Matches page will come up. If you have matches, their email address and comments about the trip they plan will be displayed. Select their email to send a message. If no matches appear, check back in a couple of days under your new CarpoolMatchNW profile by going to www.CarpoolMatchNW.org, selecting One Time Trip and then put in your email address and password to go to your own profile. New commuters register daily.
Driving Directions

From Vancouver, WA and all points North:
Take I-5 South over the bridge to Jantzen Beach exit (#308). Follow Airport directions.
From downtown Portland and all points South:
Take I-5 North to Jantzen Beach Exit (#308). At the stoplight turn right. At the second stoplight (Hayden Island Dr.) turn left, then right.
From Mt. Hood and all points East:
Take I-84 West to I-5. Take I-5 North to Jantzen Beach exit (#308). Take I-5 North to Jantzen Beach Exit (#308). At the stoplight turn right. At the second stoplight (Hayden Island Dr.) turn left, then right.
From Portland International Airport:
Take I-205 North 2 miles to SR14 (WA). Take SR14 West 7 miles to I-5. Take I-5 South over the bridge to Jantzen Beach Exit (#308, OR). At the stoplight turn right. Go through one stoplight to the STOP sign, turn right and go under the bridge. Hotel is on the left.
