Student Scholarship
NWEC Welcomes Students!
The NWEC Steering Committee invites students and recent 2009 graduates from local colleges and universities in Oregon and Southwest Washington to attend the premiere environmental conference in the Pacific Northwest. Sponsors have generously provided eight half-day scholarships for qualified students that are interested in attending. The scholarship would allow each student to attend one half-day of sessions of their choice, at no cost. You must be a current student or recent 2009 graduate to qualify for the scholarship.
In an effort to accommodate busy finals week schedules, the following four options for attending the Conference are available:
- Breakfast, morning break in the Tradeshow and any two morning sessions on Monday, December 7.
- Lunch, afternoon break in the Tradeshow and any two afternoon sessions on Monday, December 7.
- Breakfast, morning break in the Tradeshow and any two morning sessions on Tuesday, December 8.
- Lunch and any one afternoon session on Tuesday, December 8.
DEADLINE EXTENDED! If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please send an email to NWEC@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com by no later than November 16, 2009. Please include the following information:
- Name, phone, email
- School you are attending/recently graduated from
- Major and anticipated date of graduation
- Days/times you would like to attend
- Why you would like to attend (a brief paragraph)
The NWEC Scholarship Committee will make the final selection and will notify you by no later than November 23.
You may also take advantage of the special "Students and Professionals in Transition" registration which would allow you to attend specified Monday afternoon sessions on December 7 at a greatly reduced rate. Register Now.
